Dr. Himanshi Chaudhary is a trained immunologist and pediatric rheumatologist based in Pune, Maharashtra. She has had an excellent academic record and has been trained in some of the best medical schools of the world. She was among toppers in the secondary and senior secondary school (CBSE) examination. She was awarded the CBSE scholarship for highest mark scorers in secondary school examination in 2008. She also received scholarship from Department of Biotechnology, Ministry Of Science & Technology ,Government of India for scoring 100% marks in Biology in Senior Secondary School Examination 2008. She was among toppers in the All India Medical Entrance Examinations. She pursued M.B.B.S. from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and finished 1 year internship in various medical specializations at Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. She then moved to Chandigarh for perusal of M.D. Pediatrics from the best training institute for pediatrics in the country, Advanced Pediatrics Center, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research(PGIMER), Chandigarh. She got an opportunity to be mentored by father of pediatric rheumatology in the country, Prof. Surjit Singh. Later, she also completed a doctorate in medicine; D.M.(super specialization) degree in Pediatric Clinical Immunology And Rheumatology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. She carried forward her feat of academic achievements in PGIMER and was able to publish almost 50 publications in various peer reviewed, international scientific journals. She has also been an active reviewer of various international and national scientific journals. She has also co-authored 4 chapters in medical textbooks. Her academic achievements also helped her secure the highly coveted scholarship in Clinical Immunology at Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, the Netherlands that was sponsored by European Society of Immunodeficiencies.

With a strong determination to contribute to betterment of healthcare in her own country, she has moved to Pune, Maharshtra. She is the first DM in Pediatric clinical immunology and rheumatology in the entire Western India. She is the only trained pediatric rheumatologist in Pune and only trained pediatric clinical immunologist in entire Maharashtra. She is an expert in disorders of immune system, the disorders that are considered rare by physicians. These “not so rare” disorders may present with things as simple as recurrent oral ulcers, recurrent fever episodes, growth retardation, recurrent loose stools, lymph node enlargement, anemia, low platelet counts, skin rashes to as sinister as life-threatening infections, organ failures, vision loss, limb deformities and even death. Unfortunately these disorders are often missed and under-diagnosed in the community. Most of these patients suffer for many months to years before they could receive some satisfactory help. Some of these disorders need very specialized therapy, something that is backed by scientific evidence. These therapies may not be easily available, may be expensive and can have many side effects(if given unsupervised). Hence, it is important to raise awareness about the existence of these disorders, medical needs of the patients suffering from these disorders and everything else that could be done to support them(diet, exercise, immunization, medications).
